Wheeler issued a statement today regarding the investigation into the disappearance of 19-year-old Samantha Ann Clarke. Wheeler noted that the man charged in this months abduction of Nelson County teen Alexis Tiara Murphy is someone Orange Town Police have been interested in speaking to about Clarkes September 2010 disappearance because he was one of the last people to speak to her before she left her home either in the final hours of Sept. 13, 2010 or the early hours of Sept. 14, 2010. Randy Allen Taylor Randy Allen Taylor, 48, of Lovingston, was charged Sunday with Alexis Murphys abduction. She remains missing. Law enforcement authorities said Monday that they are exploring whether there are any links between Alexis disappearance and others in Virginia. Several young women have disappeared including Clarke in 2010, 20-year-old Morgan Harrington in 2009, and 20-year-old Anne Carolyn McDaniel and 25-year-old Alicia Showalter Reynolds in 1996. Orange County Executive Ed Diana, along with fire officials, broke ground on a new burn building part of the Orange County fire training center. The $1.5 million burn building will help train about 2,000 volunteer and career firefighters from across Orange County in each year. "They're going to learn live burn training, so they're going to get heat exposure, smoke exposure, they're going to learn to stay low in fires, they're going to learn search and rescue techniques. All things that will save the firefighters and residents that they're protecting," said Hines. The state of the art training facility will replace the old burn building, which officials say is not up to date and no longer safe to use.

'Bridge Bash' project to close 405 Freeway in Orange County
-- Orange County gets its own version of "Carmageddon" this weekend. Some are calling it "Bridge Bash," "Orange Jam" and "A Clogwork Orange." And it's coming this weekend to the busy 405 Freeway. A 4-mile stretch of the 405 will be shut down between Valley View Street and the 605 Freeway from Saturday at 9 p.m. until Sunday at 5 p.m. The stretch of the 405 Freeway is considered one of the busiest in the country: an average of 370,000 vehicles travel through each day. After several flashbacks to the Mexico bachelorette party, Vicki admits she never had a plan to steal Tamra from Gretchen. The majority of the hour-long reunion debacle consisted of accusations of Gretchen by Tamra and the group of women. Gretchen is drilled about a potential affair scandal years ago while she was with Jeff. Some of the women blame Gretchen for sitting on a mans lap and kissing him while Jeff was dying in the hospital. Gun-wielding suspects invade neighboring Orange County homes
An Orange County community is on edge Tuesday morning after robbers forced their way into a home and tied up a family at gunpoint and then invaded a neighbor's home as well. The incidents began about 9:30 p.m. Monday in the 300 block of Calle Grande in Orange Hills, an affluent community in the city of Orange. One of the victims told NBC-Los Angeles that a robber held a gun to her head as well as her familys. The family was then tied up but managed to alert authorities when the womans husband escaped through a window and called police, CBS-Los Angeles reported. The incident lasted three hours, the woman told reporters at the scene Tuesday. But the robbers werent done. A neighbors home also was invaded and a man who lived there was either shot or stabbed in the hand, the mans wife told KTLA-TV. The man was taken to the hospital for treatment, according to media reports.
