They prepared 24 environmental games and activities. The students offered up cycling crafts such as egg carton caterpillars, environmental bookmarks to color, and using discarded magazines to make beads for jewelry. They gave the students copies of environmental books they made and published, as well. "The most impressive aspect of the Florida Green Schools program is that the $30 million in cost savings was generated by a handful of projects," Greg Ira, Director of the Department's Office of Environmental Education was quoted in a recent Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) press release. "The potential is so much greater than what we're seeing in 2013; we've only scratched the surface of what can be generated statewide." The Florida Green School Network, a partnership between the DEP, Department of Health and Sustainable Florida and the Department of Education, since being established in 2011 has seen nearly 110,000 students, teachers and administrators participate in green school initiatives. The TCHS Service-Learning Council is a worthy recipient of one of the 2013 Florida Green School Awards.

Meet Fair Lawn's Evan Favaro, the newest addition to 'Orange County Choppers'
He works there until about 4 p.m., then heads to Speakeasy Motors, where he works on projects until 9:30 p.m., when he goes home, showers and goes to bed to do it all again the next day. He hasnt had as much time for Fair Lawn Volunteer Company 3 as of late, but hes committed to his own shop, despite earning a steady paycheck from Orange County Choppers. I would never give this place up, Favaro said. This is where everything started. Favaro opened Speakeasy Motors when he was 21. He remembers it as an expensive and stressful endeavor. I worked 16 hours a day 8 days a week, he said. I just had to give it my all and be OK with being broke all the time. Favaro is on the young side of a business owner.

But assuming you do, the public has a right to know you have it." According to county ordinance, a vicious dog is defined as one that has killed or seriously maimed a person. After an attack, animal control officers launch an investigation, talk to witnesses, check records and find out if there have been other unreported attacks, Orange County Animal Care Director Ryan Drabek said. "Any time a bite to a human happens a dog has to be quarantined for up to 10 days, either at its home or here at the shelter," Drabek told the newspaper. Dog-bite reports have risen slightly in the county. Last year, 2,384 dogs reportedly bit people in Orange County, an increase from 2,281 in 2011, Drabek said. The online map would show residents where the county's estimated 150 vicious and potentially dangerous dogs reside.

Real Housewives of Orange County's Lydia McLaughlin Not Returning
"I got to be kind of a different voice -- I think that my fans love the love and positivity that I brought." However, she doesn't plan to watch the series when it returns for Season 9. "I feel like because I did have such a great experience with it, I would be sad to watch it," she says. "It'd be like seeing your ex-boyfriend with a new girl! I'm really grateful for the opportunity!" Those returning for Season 9 of Real Housewives of Orange County include Vicki Gunvalson , Tamra Barney and Heather Dubrow . This is one of the biggest overhauls the Real Housewives franchise has undergone in one season since Real Housewives of New York City fired four castmembers and added three new ones in 2011. Are you sad Lydia won't be returning? Real Housewives of Orange County is now down three castmembers. Following the exits of Alexis Bellino and Gretchen Rossi , new addition Lydia McLaughlin tells Us Weekly that she is not returning for a second season.

Update on recovering Orange County Executive Ed Diana
The proposed website would allow residents to click and see where dogs have been cited in 17 cities including Anaheim, Fullerton and Huntington Beach, the Orange County Register reported Sunday. Anyone who has a vicious dog should probably have their head examined in the first place, Supervisor Todd Spitzer said during a meeting in September. Why would you even want a vicious dog? But assuming you do, the public has a right to know you have it. According to county ordinance, a vicious dog is defined as one that has killed or seriously maimed a person. After an attack, animal control officers launch an investigation, talk to witnesses, check records and find out if there have been other unreported attacks, Orange County Animal Care Director Ryan Drabek said.
